Original advertising poster from 1971 for the denim brand Levi Strauss & Co.

Levi Strauss invented denim pants in 1873. From the 1950s onwards, the jeans of the workers of the Great Depression became the rebellious emblem conveyed by James Dean and Marlon Brando, Jack Kerouac or Jackson Pollock. The fever reaches Hollywood, and Marilyn Monroe will wear it in The River No Return and in The Lunatics. He then became the symbol of the counter-culture of the 60s and 70s. In the year 2000, Time Magazine calls it " mythe fashion du xxe siècle ".

With this poster, the American blue-jeans brand Levi Strauss & Co. delivers an emblematic advertisement from the 1970s.
