Original advertising poster for Cycles Guyot, "the famous Swiss brand", circa 1920.

Guyot "the famous Swiss brand" could actually be French but named after the Swiss champion Charles Guyot who has notably participated in the Tour de France three times.

Anonymous, the style of the poster is reminiscent of the drawings of René Vincent, whose feminine silhouettes adorned the advertisements for Le Bon Marché and Gitanes. An elegant young woman wears a canary-yellow outfit matching her hat, proudly posing on her Guyot bicycle. The landscape of this bucolic scene is reminiscent of the Alps.

At the top of the poster: the company logo and an insert showing that the brand is also aimed at men.
