Albéric de Waresquiel Albéric de Waresquiel, antique dealer and administrator of the www.posterissim.com website

Originally i am a great fan and collector of vintage posters and objects related to Steve McQueen and James Bond. For the last fifteen years, my passion has broadened to include the entire world of original vintage posters, from all countries and sizes, from the end of the 19th century to the 1980s.

Owner of a gallery in Paris until 2017 and after having participated in several exhibitions and shows, I am now settled in Brussels where I have opened my own gallery on appointment in addition to the www.posterissim.com website. From collector to antique dealer, it is with a constantly renewed pleasure that I buy and sell vintage posters all over the world. Indeed, the world of old paper is so vast that it brings daily its share of discoveries and surprises.

True works of art, vintage posters have the power to awaken in each one of us an emotion, a memory, a passion. Often designed by highly talented poster artists (with a few exceptions, little known to the general public), these magnificent images with their deep and shimmering colours, sublimating the curves of a legendary actress or the picturesque landscape of a region, were printed using processes that hardly exist anymore. Today we are invaded by digital communication and the original paper poster is gradually disappearing, becoming a rare and sought-after object, as well as an unparalleled decorative element that blends in with any type of interior.

Many collectors, day trippers, institutions and professionals have trusted me on all kinds of themes such as movie, tourism and advertising. Whether you are a fan of Brigitte Bardot an ace driver a lover of French Riviera or a cognac enlightened, I invite you to let yourself be guided with passion and expertise into the fascinating universe of the vintage poster, both witness and mirror of its time.

For more information, I also invite you to visit the blog of www.posterissim.com where every month I share with you new thematic articles. Among them, discover for example the history of the vintage poster, its trends, or its greatest artists!
