Original poster designed by Martin Peikert in 1963 to promote the Swiss winter sports resort of Les Diablerets in the canton of Vaud.

Les Diablerets, situated between Lake Geneva and Gstaad, at an altitude of 1200 metres, is a mecca for winter sports and summer leisure activities. This smountainous area of the canton of Vaud is particularly renowned, not least because it is it is possible to ski there in winter as well as in summer. Indeed, you can reach the Tsanfleuron glacier linked to the village of Les Diablerets by a cable car inaugurated in 1964 on the occasion of the National Exhibition.

The famous Swiss painter and poster artist Martin Peikert, renowned for the realism and precision of his mountain illustrations, designed this advertising campaign for the resort in 1963. It shows a luminous and slender woman hanging from a ski lift, her face bathed in sunlight. On her shoulders is perched not a child but a faun with the airs of a little devil playing a flute. A legendary creature inspired by Roman mythology, Peikert made her the muse of his posters for the Diablerets resort, in the manner of a mascot used by him alone.
