Original Poster Go to Corsica designed by Edouard Collin around 1950 for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique.

A French island located in the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica is about 177 kilometres from the French Riviera. It is one of France's most popular tourist destinations, known for its sublime beaches, mountains and cities such asAjaccio, Bonifacio, Calvi, or Porto-Vecchio.

This original poster created in the 1950s by Edouard Collin (Grand Prix de Rome de peinture 1932) promotes trips to Corsica. On there you will find the cruise ship on the blue sea, the superb beaches, the steep relief and the Corsican villages. This is not a trivial sight, however. Indeed, one admires the landscape through the hole in a rock in the shape of the island of beauty.

Founded in 1855, the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique offers trips on luxury liners, designed to represent the image of France abroad. The quality of the service (especially the quality of the food and wine) has earned the loyalty of a wealthy clientele, especially wealthy Americans at the time of Prohibition. Years after its demise, its heritage continues to attract collectors.
